Dear Friends of Dorcas Library,
Dorcas Library is more than shelves of books—it’s a lively hub of learning, creativity, and community. Last year, over 4,400 people visited and attended more than 110 programs that brought neighbors together for reading, workshops, crafts, and conversation.
Each week, our spaces fill with children discovering stories, adults sharing skills, and friends connecting through books and activities. We loaned over 4,700 books and materials last year, along with 640 audio and e-book downloads. Partnerships with local schools and organizations help us reach even more people.
As our programs grow, so do our needs. Rising costs make it challenging to maintain our buildings, expand offerings, and provide resources for all ages. Your generosity helps us:
Purchase new books and learning materials
Expand children’s and family programs
Offer workshops and community events
Support outreach for homebound residents
Maintain our library building and grounds
Every gift—large or small—keeps our library thriving. You can contribute through a donation, volunteering, or community partnership.
If you’d like to discuss a memorial or planned gift or have your donation be earmarked for the new Speakers’ Fund, please contact us. We pledge to use every dollar responsibly and keep our supporters informed.
Thank you for helping us keep Dorcas Library a welcoming place for learning, creativity, and connection—for generations to come.
With sincere gratitude,
The Board of Directors
